Ukrainian freighter collided with Greek fishing vessel in Aegean sea

General cargo ship HOVERLA A collided with Greek fishing vessel west of Agios Efstratios island, south of Lemnos, Aegean sea, in the morning Oct 13, while sailing north en route from Algeria to Nea Karvali, northern Greece, east of Thessaloniki. No injures or serious damages were reported, both ships reached Myrina port, Lemnos, later the same day, both under their own power, escorted by a lifeboat.

On another side, Marine traffic reported that: General Cargo HOVERLA A is currently located at EMED – Aegean Sea at position 39° 52′ 16.248″ N, 25° 3′ 19.548″ E as reported by MarineTraffic Terrestrial Automatic Identification System on 2021-10-13 16:03 UTC (1 minute ago)
The wind in this area at that time blows from the South direction at force 1 Beaufort.

The vessel is currently at port LIMNOS, GR and her next destination is NEA KARVALI, GR

HOVERLA A (IMO: 9327188) is a General Cargo that was built in 2006 (15 years ago) and is sailing under the flag of Moldova.
Its carrying capacity is 3732 t DWT and her current draught is reported to be 4.6 meters. Her length overall (LOA) is 89.73 meters and her width is 15.76 meters
