Two tugs hit by cement carrier, half-sunk, Devonport, Tasmania

Cement carrier GOLIATH contacted berthed tugs YORK COVE and WILGA at Devonport, Tasmania, at around 0045 UTC Jan 28, while maneuvering to berth, on arrival from Melbourne.

Both tugs were damaged with ensuing water ingress, YORK COVE is already partially submerged with her portside hull crushed in the midship section area. GOLIATH completed berthing after an accident, understood she went out of control during maneuvering, cause unknown.
