The Suez Canal Economy participates in the African Energy Conference 2022 in Brussels

Engineer Yahya Zaki, President of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, met with officials of a Belgian company working in the field of manufacturing electrolyzers, which are used in the manufacture of green hydrogen products. Renewable energy is produced by solar and wind energy using electrolyzers.

Engineer Yahya Zaki also met with representatives of one of the agencies affiliated with the World Bank that specialized in providing guarantees and support for major projects, as this agency is an insurance agency affiliated with the Bank, and it has shown great interest in supporting green hydrogen production projects to be established in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

On the other hand, he met with the President of the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal and the Belgian Minister of Energy “Tin van der Straiten”, where he gave a presentation on the economic zone of the Suez Canal, pointing to the region’s potential of integrated industrial zones and 6 ports connected to the Mediterranean and the Mediterranean, as well as how these components contribute to the process Green fuel production and ship supply, in addition to its review of other industries targeted in the economic zone and the direct and indirect investment incentives provided by the zone to investors.

It is worth noting that these meetings were held at the Egyptian Embassy in Brussels, in the presence of Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Belgium, on the sidelines of the participation of the President of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, the African Energy Conference 2022 in Brussels, held from June 21 to 23.
