Sick Captain of Turkish bulk carrier airlifted by helicopter, Japan

Bulk carrier YASA JUPITER requested medical assistance to Captain, who fell sick, on Nov 4 in Japan sea off Tsugaru Strait, while en route from China to Canada. Captain of Turkish nationality was airlifted by Japanese MRCC helicopter and transferred to hospital.

On Nov 5 bulk carrier called Hakodate anchorage, understood to receive a new Captain. The ship left Hakodate same day.
