“SEAWAY SWAN” arrives in Alexandria port – carrying cranes “Tahya Misr”

Alexandria Port received the cargo ship “SEAWAY SWAN”, this Friday morning, coming from the Chinese port of Qingdao, carrying 4 giant cranes STS to operate the multi-purpose “Tahya Misr” station.

The project aims to increase the port’s handling and storage capacity of containers and general cargo. It consists of berths with a length of 2500 m, with depths ranging from 14.5 – 17.5 m, and a floor area of ​​545,000 m2.

The Egyptian Group for Multi-Purpose Stations Company continues to implement the project, which was started in early March 2020, and the implementation rate has reached 99% so far, in preparation for its operation.
