CEO Saul Cannon said the result reflects Port of Melbourne’s increased commitment to sustainability as core to its long-term success.

“We’re working towards a more sustainable port for the benefit of the Australian economy and livability of Melbourne,” Mr Cannon said.

“Sustainability is important to support the Port’s efficient 24/7 operations and grow the Port to meet the increasing trade requirements of south-eastern Australia,” he said.

“We are embedding sustainability objectives into the infrastructure development projects we have underway to ensure environmental and social considerations are factored in at an early stage,” he said.
