Panamax bulk carrier disabled in Martyrs Bridge – Bosphorus

Bulk carrier SAKIZAYA ELEGANCE suffered engine failure under 15 July Martyrs Bridge, Bosphorus, Istanbul, at around 0200 LT Nov 11, while transiting the Strait in northern direction, ballasting from Damietta to Constanta Romania.

Traffic Control Center responded by sending tug, pilot boat. The ship completed transit and was anchored at Kumkoy anchorage, Istanbul, Black sea. Understood traffic wasn’t interrupted.
