MSC container ship troubled in Shenzhen by positive tests and blackout

Container ship MSC REBECCA arrived at Shenzhen on Jan 24, on Jan 25 two crew were tested positive. Crews of the ships calling Chinese ports nowadays are restricted to their quarters only, they can’t go out to outer decks or contact shore personnel unless they’re in full biohazard gear, so understood, the ship completed cargo operations and set sail bound for Manila,

Master reported that the issue couldn’t be fixed in a short time, and according to officials, asked to be taken back to berth. 4 tugs responded, the ship returned to berth and finally, left Shenzhen in the morning Jan 28. As of morning Feb 1, she was sailing in the South China sea after a short stop outside Manila Bay.
