(Mawani) wins the “Deal of the Year” award at the Maritime Standard Excellence Awards 2022

Saudi Ports Authorties (Mawani) won the Deal of the Year award within the 2022 Excellence Awards, during the activities of the ninth edition of the “The Maritime Standard Awards” ceremony in the shipping, ports and maritime sector in the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.

This came as a culmination of the achievements made by “Ports” to bring about a qualitative transformation in the maritime sector and facilitate the movement of global trade, and an affirmation of the superior performance of Saudi ports to support the logistics system and improve the services provided to the beneficiaries of importers, exporters and maritime agents

Moreover, “Ports” had concluded a number of exceptional agreements to establish 7 promising logistical areas with an investment value exceeding 2 billion riyals and provide more than 6 thousand direct and indirect job opportunities in the first phase, in integrated partnership with local and international companies: Maersk – LogiPoint – D B World, Bahri, Abyat, and Globe” in addition to the agreement signed with “CMA CGM”, for which “Mawani” won the Deal of the Year award.

Ports aims to establish integrated logistics platforms as part of its continuous pursuit to achieve the goals of the national strategy for transport and logistics services by establishing specialized logistics areas inside and outside the ports that contribute to consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics center and a hub linking three continents, and supports the development of a sustainable and prosperous maritime transport system that achieves economic and social ambitions.to the Kingdom, and enhance the provision of high-level logistical services that keep pace with economic growth and enable integration with other modes of transport.

It is noteworthy that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by “Mawani”, has recently won 3 awards at the Middle East Logistics & Transport Awards “LTA”, which consolidates its position in the maritime transport and ports sector.​
