Luxury 59-meter yacht collided with bridge, Pisa, Italy

59-meter luxury motor yacht IDOL collided with Autostrada Azzurra Bridge, Pisa Canal, Pisa, Italy, on May 31, reports Boat International yachting outlet.

Yacht completed refit recently, at yacht refit yard in Pisa, and understood, was seriously damaged in a collision. Among other things, the yacht was fitted with a helipad. Yacht, according to available info, tried to pass the bridge during high tide, but for vessels of such size, a bridge is passable only during low tide.

Motor yacht IDOL, IMO 1008205, GT 903, length 59 meters, built 2007, 28 guests, 13 crew.
