YoungShip to Colombia, presentes opportunities for Young people who belong or want to belong to the maritime industry

With the arrival of YoungShip to Colombia, we give way to a world of opportunities for Young people who belong or want to belong to the maritime industry. co-president of YoungShip Colombia, Capitan Carlos Cruz said that to ” eBlue Economy” adding :  With the expertise in the international maritime environment with many years of YoungShip, creating knowledge and strengthening the competencies and training capacities of its members in maritime and port issues.

This is the opportune moment to become a member and enter a world of opportunities both in knowledge management, as well as being able to interact with members and managers of companies in the maritime, port sector of the country and the world. 

At the same time Ng/ CO .Yasmin Maldonado Escobar sayes to” eBlue Economy “that :YoungShip Colombia, opens in the country from this year 2020, which is the year called by the World Maritime Organization IMO as the year “A sustainable maritime transport for a sustainable planet”. This motto is based on the theme that gives us the opportunity to raise awareness about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to show the work that the World Maritime Organization (IMO) and its Member States carry out to achieve these objectives.

Likewise, this theme allows leaders from various sectors, including maritime transport, to reflect on the work carried out and plan the urgent steps to follow to maintain the efficiency and operability of maritime transport and port development.

While Capitan Carlos Cruza asserted saying   Likewise, given the challenges that COVID-19 has brought us to the maritime transport industry and with all the limitations and Biosafety protocols that must be had to make maritime transport a safe and reliable transport, YoungShip Panama has organized the first meeting between countries of “YoungShip Iberoamérica” ​​2020, where we joined several YoungShip organizations such as the Panama, Spain, Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil chapters, to create this great event of the Ibero-American maritime industry with the support of academic entities and companies in the sector, to create a space where we will talk about interesting topics and the trends that are setting the maritime industry. It is an initiative that will be carried out annually, alternating the venues year after year and including the new countries. 

Another side With this vision and within the framework of this Great event, “YoungShip Colombia” opens the chapter for the country and joins this initiative, in order to contribute to the training and education of young professionals in the maritime sector who wish to expand their knowledge in technical issues and in international and national regulations that frame maritime, port and nautical activities.

There is much to do and to contribute in terms of innovation and digital transformation in the maritime industry. Concepts such as Big data, Block Chain, Artificial Intelligence, among others, are having an impact on the industry and these should be a great opportunity to make the Maritime Industry more efficient and secure in the Country and in the Region. For this reason, YoungShip Colombia will be a facilitator for these great challenges facing the Industry and thus, contribute to build Colombia’s Bioceanic Power in the Region.
