National Union of Seafarers of India – NUSI offers financial assistance to all ranks of seafarers who serve on CRUISE SHIPS.
As per Circular No. 13 of 2021, dated 7th April’21, NUSI wishes to assist all ranks of seafarers serving on cruise ships in every possible way. According to the guidelines, seafarers serving on cruise ships can apply for financial assistance of Rs. 3,000/- for their child’s education up to the 12th standard (up to two children).
This welfare initiative is only for the 2020-21 academic year and is subject to review. Those who signed off from cruise ships on or after January 1st, 2019 are eligible. The last date to submit the application is 9th May 2021. Furthermore, if the cruise ship seafarers have any other welfare concerns, please contact NUSI at [email protected], and they will do their best to address them.
