Fire erupted in the cargo hold of general cargo ship NS SABINA, docked at Ortona, Italy, Adriatic sea, on the morning of May 6.
Billowing smoke triggered a fire alarm, and firefighters responded, while the ship had to shift berths to move away from nearby ships, including tankers.
Some cargo had to be offloaded in order to get access to the hold and fire bed. The fire was extinguished, and no major damages were reported except cargo packaging.
