Finally, Nord streem2 AG obtained construction permit from Danish authorities  as you know

Nord Stream 2 AG, a subsidiary of Russia’s Gazprom, struggling to obtain the permit for 147-km route stretches south-east of Bornholm in Danish Exclusive Economic Zone since 2017

Nord Stream 2 AG submitted a third permit application along with an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) on 15 April 2019 for which Danish authorities and organizations seek Public Consultation on the proposed route of Nord Stream 2 Pipeline Project, in the middle of May.

First application was tendered on April 3, 2017 and second was submitted on August 10th, 2018.

Nord Stream 2 AG today confirmed that, it obtained the permit to construct its planned pipeline system in the Danish Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) south-east of Bornholm. The permit was granted by the Danish Energy Agency, which is in charge of the application, and covers a 147 km long route section.

Nord Stream 2 pipeline completed 75 percent ‘1,855 km’ offshore pipeline, around last week of August.

Also, installation in the Finnish Exclusive Economic Zone with the end of pipelaying on the second line of the 374-kilometer long Finnish section was completed in August. The first line was completed in Finnish waters in April 2019.

Moreover in August a segment of Nord Stream 2 Pipeline was welded above water by Saipem C10 Vessel near Rügen, Germany.

The pipelay vessel Castoro 10 (C10) was used from July to November 2018 to lay the two lines of the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline (Line A and Line B) from the landfall in Lubmin to kilometer point (KP) 54.4, east of the island Rügen.

As of today, more than 2,100 km of the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline has been laid. Pipelay has been completed in Russian, Finnish and Swedish waters, and for the most part in German waters. The construction of both landfall facilities in Russia and Germany is nearing completion.

Nord Stream 2 will be a 48-inch twin pipeline stretching 1,230 km through the Baltic Sea. Each line will comprise around 100,000 individual pipes, each 12 m in length.

Furthermore, St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2019 brought a working meeting between Executives of Gazprom, BASF and Wintershall Dea, to discuss Nord Stream 2 & Production and most importantly, sustainable gas production from Nord Stream 2 project was on the agenda, as we reported in June.

The Nord Stream 2 Pipeline will ensure safe and stable supplies of gas to Europe. With this access to competitive gas supplies, European customers will be able to save billions of euros on their gas bill according to the University of Cologne EWI.

Nord Stream 2 will deliver gas to Europe from the vast natural gas field Bovanenkovo in North Russia’s Yamal Peninsula, which holds some 4.9 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves.

Over EUR 6 billion has been invested on the Nord Stream 2 Project. This investment creates jobs and growth across Europe, as more than 1,000 companies from 25 countries have been working on the project.
