On Friday, June 19, the ILWU will stop work for eight hours in honor of Juneteenth, the anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation first being enforced in Texas, and the death of George Floyd on May 25. Members will halt work 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., replacing the union’s regular monthly Thursday night stop-work meeting for June.
