Port and Logistics Training Centre of Excellence: Last week, the training course “Handling of Dangerous Goods” was conducted at the JNPT Antwerp Port Training and Consultancy Foundation in Mumbai by Mr. Kurt Van Passen, expert of hashtagPortofAntwerp, together with the Belgium Customs Attaché, Ms. Babette Desfossez. The success of this and any and all following programs, is due to the extensive efforts made by hashtagJNPT, Mr. Koen Cornilly, Manager Port Projects at Port of Antwerp International ( hashtagPAI) and Mr. Raj Khalid, local representative of APEC and PAI. The JNPT Antwerp Port Training and Consultancy Foundation – established under a partnership between hashtagJNPT and Port of Antwerp’s hashtagAPEC-Antwerp/Flanders Training Centre – began providing port courses in 2015 and has conducted more than 30 programs for over 500 participants from the Indian Major Ports, Private Terminals, Maritime Boards, and Ancillary Port Organizations.
