Deufol is expanding

During the World Expo in Dubai, the latest upgrade of the Echodrone, an autonomous sounding vessel, won the Blue Innovation Award from Blue Cluster.

The Echodrone is an autonomous sounding vessel capable of performing a variety of depth measurements to guarantee safe passage for shipping. It recently underwent a major upgrade that included the installation of innovative technology.

The Echodrone 2.0 is not only more robust, but it is also able to withstand different weather conditions and carries a variety of measuring equipment on board, including a sonar radar. For Port of Antwerp, the launch of the Echodrone 2.0 forms yet another milestone in terms of accessibility and innovation. Receiving the Blue Innovation Award was therefore the cherry on the cake.

On another side, The month of October marked the start of the groundworks for the construction of a new warehouse on the Deufol site. This new warehouse will be used for the storage and packaging of industrial breakbulk cargo.

Thanks to its location at the Churchill Dock, the site is ideally positioned inside the breakbulk zone of the port of Antwerp. As a result of this expansion, Deufol is increasing its capacity with the addition of 5460 m² warehouse space, over and above the area of 9500 m² it currently offers.

Deufol is an expert in industrial packaging and logistics.
