Danish bulk carrier fire, Southampton, UK

Metal scrap already loaded into bulk carrier NORD BALTIC, caught fire in one of the holds in the evening of Jan 28, at Southampton, UK. The fire was taken under control by fire engines from local fire stations, ship’s cargo holds and scrap were monitored during Jan 29, to make sure the fire is fully extinguished. NORD BALTIC is loading a cargo of scrap, she’s berthed at Southampton since late Jan 24.
