Costa Cruises returns to Turkey after almost seven years, with an innovative cruise, which debuted from Istanbul yesterday on 1 May and will also touch Greece.

”This new cruise – explains the general manager of Costa Cruises, Mario Zanetti, during the presentation conference of the Costa Venezia debut in Istanbul – is a very different product compared to that of the past.

When it comes to itineraries, three fundamental elements must be kept in mind: attractiveness, infrastructures and accessibility and to offer this type of experience we tick all the boxes “.

Costa Venezia’s program in Turkey includes three different itineraries, all with embarkation and disembarkation in Istanbul. From 1 May to 13 November 2022, Costa Venezia will offer two one-week itineraries dedicated to Turkey and Greece, alternating between them. In winter, however, the third itinerary, 12 days between Turkey, Egypt, Israel and Cyprus.

“Our restart program in view of the summer, with all the ships at sea, is strengthened with a truly unique offer – continues Zanetti – the main novelty of Costa Venezia cruises is the possibility of visiting the best of Turkey in one vacation, starting from Istanbul, one of the most beautiful cities in the world ”.

Zanetti, speaking of the repercussions of the geopolitical situation on cruises, said: “We are a global operator and we work in all markets; this helps us face the moment.

We have Russian passengers booked because they bought and paid for the cruise before closing. Due to the war, we have already canceled our itinerary in the Baltic for weeks and this obviously had an impact on sales in northern Europe, but there are no visible effects on the rest of the offer “.

The current position of COSTA VENEZIA is at Marmara Sea (coordinates 41.02531 N / 28.98302 E) reported 5 mins ago by AIS. The vessel arrived at the port of Istanbul, Turkey on Apr 27, 11:17 UTC.

The vessel COSTA VENEZIA (IMO: 9801689, MMSI 247391100) is a Passenger (Cruise) Ship built in 2019 (3 years old) and currently sailing under the flag of Italy.
