Doug Bannister, Chief Executive of the Port of Dover, said:

“We at the Port of Dover are delighted to announce that we are sponsoring the Fire Garden at Dover’s Winter Light Up this year. These last few years have represented a real challenge for the community and we are pleased to be helping to deliver this free event and bring some Christmas magic to the people of Dover.

As we return to community events post-pandemic, it is our ambition to work closely with local partners, such as Dover Town Council and Destination Dover to support an overarching Christmas event. After the success of the Dover Regatta in the Summer, we cannot wait to continue this collaboration.”

The Fire Garden will happen alongside other exciting events and activities as part of Dover’s 2022 Winter Light Up. On Saturday 3rd December, a Christmas Market including Father Christmas, live entertainment and festive activities will be spreading cheer at Market Square from 12pm to 9 pm.

We are grateful to the Port of Dover for their generous sponsorship of the two-day Fire Garden this year, and look forward to seeing the stunning illuminations bring some Christmas cheer to Dover.”
