Capesize bulk carrier disabled, 4 tugs responded, Canada

Capesize bulk carrier COMANCHE reported engine failure on Mar 11 in Placentia Bay, southwest Newfoundland, and started to drift. The ship in full load is en route from Pointe Noire Canada to Suez, ETA Mar 30. Understood COMANCHE was cruising in Placentia Bay prior to breakdown, most probably waiting out, to fit into a schedule. 4 tugs responded, a caravan is moving north into Placentia Bay, an operation is coordinated by CG.
