Bulk carrier collided with fishing boat, 1 dead 2 missing, China

Bulk carrier XIN HAI ZHOU 26 collided with a Chinese fishing vessel in East China sea some 30 nm SE of Zhoushan, China, in the evening of Sep 22, while en route from Ningbo-Zhoushan to Soviet Gavan, Russia. The fishing vessel sank, of 7 crew on board 4 were rescued, 1 recovered dead, and 2 are missing. XIN HAI ZHOU 26 was ordered to anchor near the collision site, understood for investigation.

Marine Traffic reported that: Bulk Carrier XIN HAI ZHOU 26 is currently located at CHINA – East China Sea at position 29° 51′ 38.988″ N, 122° 51′ 12.6″ E as reported by MarineTraffic Terrestrial Automatic Identification System on 2021-09-23 19:01 UTC (1 hour, 26 minutes ago)
Added: The wind in this area at that time blows from the Southeast direction at force 2 Beaufort.

The vessel departed from ZHOUSHAN, CN on 2021-09-22 12:17 LT (UTC +8) and is currently sailing at 0.1 knots in the Southwest direction

XIN HAI ZHOU 26 (IMO: 8656609) is a Bulk Carrier that was built in 2009 (12 years ago) and is sailing under the flag of Panama.
Its carrying capacity is 21902 t DWT and her current draught is reported to be 5.5 meters. Her length overall (LOA) is 160.91 meters and her width is 24 meters.
