Breaking News :Egyptian freighter beached, broke in two in stormy Med

General cargo ship MANASSA ROSE M ran aground in the morning Jan 25 on northwest Crete island coast in Kissamos Bay, while en route from Iskenderun Turkey to Misrata Libya. According to not yet confirmed reports, the ship broke in two, understood weather is the main cause of the disaster – ship apparently, tried to find a shelter from a storm, but either went out of control, or couldn’t hold on against wind and sea, and finally, ran aground on the beach. 10 crew were rescued, 2 of them reportedly had to be hospitalized with hypothermia. She’s loaded with a cargo of steel.
