Maersk Training Norway and Xrig AS have signed a cooperation agreement

Xrig is a Norwegian company specializing in on-/offshore rig and associated equipment rental services, including testing and training. Xrig is a modular combined drilling and hydraulic workover rig. In conjunction with the rig, they have recently built a competence center, where Xrig, together with the state-of-the-art module, will be able to provide extensive testing and training services for the oil and gas industry.

Jan Tore Knutsen, Managing Director, Maersk Training Norway, said: “Xrig and Maersk training forming this partnership will give our customers the opportunity to experience even more realistic and relevant training as we combine Xrig’s full-size rig floor facilities with Maersk Training’s learning concepts and state-of-the-art mobile or cloud-based drilling and intervention simulators.”
