In the past 30 years, about 2,500 different trees and shrubs, mostly Mediterranean vegetation, have been planted in the area of the Port of Koper. Among the trees planted are also 300 olive trees.
October is a busy month for olive growers and also the right time to harvest the 300 olive trees in the port area. With 1.800 kg of olives collected, this year’s harvest was an exceptionally good one. The port olive groves are now 25 years old and through the years became a symbol of Luka Koper environmental commitment.
