Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority stressed the great interest that the Egyptian state attaches to the projects of developing the Suez Canal, based on its strategic importance and its vital role in serving the global trade movement.
While the commander of the US Central Command expressed the importance of the Suez Canal as a vital artery for the whole world, praising the Egyptian vision for developing the navigation course of the Suez Canal.
The visit also included a marine tour of the new Suez Canal, during which they monitored the regularity of the navigation movement within the canal.
The visit comes within the framework of the strategic partnership relations between Egypt and the United States of America in all fields, as well as joint efforts to support peace and development and face current challenges.
